Gary Gould

Gary Gould's shows combine dazzling musicianship with upbeat narration for an unforgettable concert experience for all ages. Each concert has a unique theme and can cover a wide variety of different musical styles played on a number of different musical instruments. These various forms include music of the American Frontier (played on penny whistle), and the Hits of the Clarinet. Also big bands, jazz favorites, bebop, the cool school, rock and roll, performed on soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones. He also explores the world of the clarinet including hits by Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Pete Fountain, Acker Bilk, and classics from Eastern European klezmer and Brazilian choro. In this Eastern European Jewish folk music you’ll hear bulgars, freilachs, horas, waltzes, terkishes and more, with blazing tempos and an ancient approach to the clarinet sure to make you grin.

He also has collection of the most popular swing tunes from the 30s and 40s played on a variety of saxophones, clarinet, flute and more. As well as an all-Irish music show featuring the beloved music of the Emerald Island played on a variety of whistles, complete with upbeat narration and storytelling. During the holidays Cherished holiday songs and other Eastern European klezmer are favorites from the most wonderful time of the year. In addition to gorgeous songs traditionally performed at weddings, both ancient and contemporary. This also includes international favorites and domestic love songs.
These variety shows are ideal presentations for community events, holiday parties, performing arts centers, service organizations (such as women's clubs), senior concerts, schools, music clinics, fairs, fundraisers, parks, churches, synagogues, and anyone with a concert series.
