Founded and directed by composer Zhiming Han, for more than a decade the Chinese Classical Music Ensemble’s performances of traditional, classical and original compositions have been featured in numerous concerts and film soundtracks, including appearances with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and the San Francisco Symphony. In 2002, this group’s enthusiastic performance at LA Music Center was featured in a broadcast that aired nationally on PBS. The Chinese Classical Music Ensemble also performs special programs for educational, cultural and entertainment purposes, that include Chinese music, dancing and acrobatics for all occasions.

The mission of the Chinese Classical Music Ensemble is to present the finest contemporary Chinese-influenced World music to their audiences and, by performing traditional Chinese and original repertoire and integrating Chinese and Western music and instrumentation, promote cross-cultural understanding through professional performances.
